Seneca wrote this around 49 AD, addressed to his father-in-law Paulinus, but intended for anyone who had ever said they didn’t have enough time. His argument is simple and uncomfortable: the problem is never the length of life, but the way we drain it on distraction, ambition for the wrong things, and pleasures that leave us emptier than before. We are not given a short life. We make it short. This shirt is a reminder that the time is already there, waiting to be used well.
